Hi, I’m Rhiannon — named after the Fleetwood Mac song!

I’m a pre-licensed counseling intern working with adults navigating life’s harder chapters: transitions, trauma, grief, addiction, relationship struggles, and suicidal ideation. My work centers on helping you build empowerment and self-compassion while making sense of the parts of your worldview shaped by your own life story.

My Approach

I draw on Adlerian, relational, and somatic approaches — but more than any specific technique, I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is the foundation of good therapy. I start there, building trust and safety with you, and then tailor interventions to fit your individual needs rather than fitting you into a single framework.

Experience

I’m currently a pre-licensed counseling intern at Humble Heart Counseling and Treasure Valley Therapy. Before transitioning into counseling, I spent six years working in the medical field. This experience shaped my understanding of the mind-body connection and continues to inform my holistic approach to therapy today. I bring that same attentiveness to the whole person into every session, recognizing that emotional well-being and physical health are deeply intertwined.

As a National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Fellow, I’ve also pursued specialized training beyond my graduate coursework, deepening my clinical skills and keeping current with best practices in the field.

Life in Boise

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me on my yoga mat, curled up with a book, or playing with my cats. I love hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and Nordic skiing around Boise, cooking new recipes, soaking up time in one of our beautiful local parks, and traveling whenever I get the chance — always with the people I love close by.
