About Me
Hello, I’m Kiley, a counseling intern. I enjoy reading fiction, staying active, and connecting with loved ones. Counseling has played an integral role throughout my life, and I look forward to paying it forward throughout my internship and career.
My Approach
My counseling approach is rooted in the belief that wellness is a lifelong, holistic, and multifaceted journey. I recognize that life presents challenges for everyone, and I’m committed to meeting each client exactly where they are. Through a collaborative, person-centered approach, I aim to empower individuals to nourish hope, cultivate self-awareness, and create lasting, authentic change. My work is informed by internal family systems theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My Experience
I graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and Boise State University with a master’s degree in kinesiology. I worked for five years in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, where I witnessed firsthand the intricate connection between physical and mental health. I decided I wanted to focus more on the mental health side of the equation, but will undoubtedly lean on my education in exercise science to round out my clients’ wellness. I am currently enrolled at the University of the Cumberlands, pursuing my master’s degree in mental health counseling. My anticipated graduation date is May of 2026.
Life in Boise
I was born and raised in Meridian, ID. I love living here, with varied seasons and easy access to mountain, lakes, and outdoor sports. I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, Nordic skiing, and boating. Boise is my home and my community, and I am dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the Treasure Valley.
