Kenna Bolen
I am passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, and grief. I also work with partners and loved ones of those struggling with addiction, helping them navigate the impact these relationships can have, reconnect with themselves, strengthen boundaries, and find support in their own healing process. My work draws from DBT, ACT, CBT, mindfulness-based approaches, and elements of IFS and art therapy. My lens is existential-humanistic, honoring that we are all searching for meaning, connection, and a sense of belonging.
I believe deeply in the mind-body connection and in each person’s capacity for healing and growth. Everyone has a unique story, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are. Together, we will explore the resilience, wisdom, and self-compassion that already exist within you, even when they feel difficult to access.
In our sessions, I offer a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed presence as we explore how past experiences may be shaping your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns today. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel truly seen and understood while developing greater self-awareness, self-trust, and more meaningful connection in your life.
My Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki III Practitioner, and Yothera Method Facilitator. Through my work with individuals processing trauma, addiction, grief, and life transitions, I have learned that healing often begins with having a space where you don’t have to carry everything alone.
I approach this work with an open heart, curiosity, and genuine respect for each person’s experience. My intention is to offer a space of compassion, empathy, and authenticity while building a relationship that feels real, supportive, and grounded in trust. I believe some of the most meaningful growth happens when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves.
Life In Boise
I was born and raised in Boise, and I truly love calling this place home. When I’m not working, you can usually find me backpacking, whitewater rafting, skiing, camping, reading, cooking, practicing yoga, dancing, spending time with loved ones, or finding new ways to be playful and creative.
