About Me
Hello, I’m Genevieve. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. I’m passionate about supporting people in reconnecting with themselves through curiosity, compassion, and trust.
My Approach
My counseling style is trauma-informed, integrative, and holistic—I support clients in exploring the connection between mind, body, and spirit, recognizing that true healing often involves all parts of who we are. I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My work often resonates with adult children of alcoholics, highly sensitive people (HSPs), and those from dysfunctional family systems. Big feelers, recovering perfectionists, and people-pleasers often find our work together especially meaningful.
My Experience
I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University. My clinical experience includes working in substance use treatment, supporting young adults in a university setting through life transitions, and helping individuals heal from PTSD and complex trauma. I have completed Level 1 Training in Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute and am also trained in EMDR, trauma-informed care, and mindful breathwork practices. I love helping clients reconnect with their authentic selves, let go of old stories and beliefs that no longer serve them, and lead more fulfilling lives.
Life in Boise
I love the simple things—working out and moving my body, going to live music and comedy shows, geeking out on podcasts, and spending time in nature. I’m new to the Boise area and excited to explore local hikes and walk the Greenbelt. I love being a therapist, and I’m honored to walk alongside others on their healing journeys.
