About Me
Hi, I’m Abraham Oros, counselor-in-training. Currently, I am enrolled at Boise State University for a Master’s degree in Counseling with an addiction emphasis. My anticipated graduation date is May 2025 at which point I will be eligible for my LPC license.
My Why
Over 26 years ago, after realizing I had become stuck in life, I decided to get help. That journey was long and hard, but with the foundation of therapy and communities of loving people over the years, I found my way through to the other side. Therapy woke me up. I want others to benefit from its power as well.
My Approach
My counseling lens is informed by Adlerian Therapy. Adlerian Therapy is a client-focused approach whereby the counselor seeks to explore the world from the client’s point of view. A concept I highly resonate with. It’s a type of therapy that aims to help people explore and achieve their goals. Adlerian therapy is broad enough to encompass other interventions as well, including CBT, EFT, and Mindfulness-based practices.
So, should you like to seek my services, we will start collaboratively, in a safe non-judgmental space, by exploring the world through your eyes. We’ll talk about your goals, values, beliefs, weaknesses, strengths, and the things in your life that just need to get out. I look forward to working with you.
