Humble Heart Counseling

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

You can begin by contacting me for a free 15-minute consultation. During this conversation, we’ll discuss your needs and determine if counseling with me is the right fit. If we decide to move forward, I’ll assist you with scheduling and provide access to a client portal for convenience.

How long is a counseling session?

Regular counseling sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in duration. Intake sessions, which are more comprehensive, usually last 60 minutes.

What is your private pay fee?

For individual counseling:

  • 45-minute session: $120.00
  • 60-minute session: $180.00

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I am in-network with many Idaho and Arizona insurance companies. Before our appointment, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to verify coverage details.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. I understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, but appointments not canceled within this timeframe will be billed at 50% of the private pay session fee.

How long do I have to be in counseling?

The duration of your counseling journey is entirely up to you. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan to achieve your goals. Whether you benefit from one session or several, we’ll work collaboratively to support your progress.

How do I know if online counseling is right for me?

Online counseling offers convenience and comfort, allowing you to participate from the privacy of your home. While occasional technical issues may arise, clients often find that online sessions feel natural after the initial adjustment period. If online counseling doesn’t suit you, we can explore transitioning to in-person sessions.

How long will I be able to work with an intern?

Counseling interns at Humble Heart Counseling will be available for counseling for the term of their 2024-2025 school year. Please note that counseling services with the intern are subject to their school requirements and limitations. Telehealth services are not available for interns at this time.
